One Laptop Per Child

Overview

"In Australia, there are approximately 300, 000 children living in outer-regional, remote and very remote areas who do not have access to modern forms of education. These children lack the opportunity, not the capacity, to learn. The XO laptop is one way of addressing this issue. By providing communities with XO laptops and training, without incurring a cost to the child or their family, Australia can help create sustainable education. Globally, we have seen that almost everywhere the XO goes, engagement increases dramatically, as children are given a tool with which to unleash their inner potential."
